Bethany Armendariz, Advanced Practice Provider, is a physician assistant specializing in radiation oncology, with a particular focus on caring for patients with prostate cancer. Since 2021, she has practiced at the RGCS Radiation Oncology Clinic in El Paso, where she evaluates and manages patients undergoing radiation therapy, addresses treatment-related and other medical concerns, manages hormone therapy, and helps develop treatment plans for patients with advanced prostate cancer.

She earned a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Baylor College of Medicine in 2016, graduating summa cum laude. Before specializing in radiation oncology, she practiced emergency medicine for four years at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, gaining extensive experience caring for patients with complex medical conditions, trauma, and critical illness. Her diverse clinical training also included family medicine, surgery, gynecology and gynecologic oncology, pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, geriatrics, and psychiatry.

Her clinical interests include localized and advanced prostate cancer, hormone therapy, and helping patients navigate the physical and emotional challenges that can accompany cancer treatment. She is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care and believes every patient should feel informed, heard, and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Bethany takes a collaborative and compassionate approach to patient care. She strives to explain complex medical information clearly and accessibly while taking the time to understand each patient’s goals, concerns, and individual circumstances. Her goal is not only to provide excellent medical care but also to help patients feel confident and supported at every stage of their cancer treatment.

Bethany is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the Texas Medical Board. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates.

Outside of work, Bethany enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and spending time in nature. Most importantly, she cherishes raising her three children and spending quality time with her family. Her two dogs are also beloved companions and an important part of the household. Bethany values opportunities to slow down and appreciate life’s simple joys beyond medicine.
