At Rio Grande Urology, our molecular imaging capabilities are powered by the GE Omni Legend PET/CT system, a high-tech, next-generation digital PET/CT platform engineered for exceptional sensitivity, resolution, and quantitative accuracy.


The Omni Legend utilizes advanced digital detector technology, replacing traditional analog photomultiplier systems with high-performance digital photon counting.  This architecture significantly improves timing resolution and signal detection efficiency, enabling enhanced image quality and more precise lesion characterization, even at lower radiotracer activity levels.


A defining feature of the system is its high-sensitivity detector design, which allows for increased count rate capability and improved signal-to-noise ratio.  This supports faster acquisition times and more consistent image quality across a wide range of patient sizes and clinical scenarios.  The system also incorporates time-of-flight (TOF) technology, refining spatial localization of detected events and further enhancing image clarity.


The integrated CT component provides high-resolution anatomic imaging for attenuation correction and precise anatomical correlation.  Fully synchronized PET and CT datasets are reconstructed and fused within a unified digital environment, enabling accurate alignment and advanced quantitative analysis, including standardized uptake value (SUV) measurements.


From a systems standpoint, the Omni Legend is built around a high-throughput, high-tech workflow with automated acquisition protocols, rapid reconstruction algorithms, and advanced data processing capabilities.  These features support consistent performance, reproducibility, and efficient operation.
