Dr. Herrera Murillo specializes in advanced minimally invasive and robotic urologic surgery. He was the first physician to introduce HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) to the region, significantly expanding treatment options for men suffering from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). 

He also brought Da Vinci Single Port robotic surgery to the area, offering patients cutting-edge, single-incision surgical solutions with enhanced precision and recovery. Recognized as a Center of Excellence in Men’s Health and Rezūm therapy, he provides comprehensive treatment for BPH, erectile dysfunction, and other men’s health conditions. His dedication to innovation extends beyond his own practice—he now serves as a proctor for Single Port robotic surgery, mentoring and training surgeons in advanced robotic techniques. 

Dr. Herrera Murillo continues to elevate El Paso urology on a national level. In 2024, he became part of the leadership team of Large Urology Group Practice Association (LUGPA), contributing to national discussions on innovation, quality, and the future of independent urologic practice. Returning home to practice was intentional. 

His mission is to ensure that patients in West Texas and Southern New Mexico have access to world-class urologic care without leaving their community.
